my dad

Last night my Dad went to the emergency room because his face was going numb. They did a Cat scan, an Ultra Sound and an MRI and they didn't find anything (which is good, it wasn't a stroke or an aneurysm or anything like that), so they sent him home. But as the day progressed, the tingling spread down his neck. From what the dr. said, and from what my mom and I have found online about his symptoms, it looks like Bells Palsy. That's when half of your face goes slack, like you've had a stroke. They say in most cases it goes away either within 2 weeks or within 6 months, but in some cases it never goes away and in the two cases we've konwn of personally, it didn't ever go away. And it's REALLY bad timing, because this great new position in his job which he just got hired for - which I don't think I told you guys about, but it's PERFECT and a lot better salary, which they really need right now - ... if he gets Bell's Palsy he prob wouldn't be able to take the job because it would impair his speech, among other things. It's kinda freaking me out, so if you'd please pray with us for him, that'd be great. Thank you

not much. This morning he said it felt the same, and then a little later on in the morning he said the tingling was a little less, but his ear was hurting more (which is also a symptom of Bell's). But that could also be a swollen gland or something, too. So we're kinda still waiting. Usually the cutoff point for Bell's after the symptoms appear, is 48 hours, I think, and that's almost up. But I also read it could be as much as 72 hours, so...we wait. Thanks for asking
