baby update

hey guys, just thought that i would give you an update on the babies. they were born on wednesday by c-section at 1:30pm. they were both perfectly formed and breathing on their own which completely amazed the doctors. they thought that they were both going to be really deformed because of all the brain problems that they were experiencing. they were 3lbs each. alli is the better functioning of the two girls, she still has a lot of fluid on her brain and the doctors don't know the extent, but still think that she is going to be retarded. charli on the other hand is doing even worse. she was born with HEP which means that she basically has no brain. it wasn't really formed when she was in the womb. it's bout the size of a pea. they didnt expect her to live through the first night and, to the surprise of the doctors, she is still alive this morning. they got a feeding tube down her throat and so she has been able to eat now. she went for hours without eating because she doesn't have the muscles developed to hold her tongue down. so, yeah. that is where things are right now. be praying for a creative miracle. be encouraged because they are doing better than what doctors expected, but dont be relieved... yet.

thanks for your prayers guys. i love and miss you all. andy and i talked for about an hour on the phone last night while he was driving home and we talked about our daydreams of copenhagen. they are probably starting to sell those warm nuts and glogg on the walking streets. i just think that we all need to go back. now. everyone cool with that? ok, good.

I was talking with Alicia the other day and she mentioned a meeting she and Jessy had with Mikael concerning some promotion. Mikael says that he wants the magazine to say something provoking, that will make people think. Something in the line with: Why is the world so f**ked up?

i definitely think it would make people think and some might say it would even be a little bit provoking.....

Happening to be browsing the TV show world online and saw a "preview" available for the premier of OC for tomorrow night. Knowing Hannah would want to watch, we decided to enjoy the show... and yes, the music as always was good. Seth was his usual and the cohens were too, but not sure the show is gonna be a winner.

Grandpa

So my grandpa died this afternoon. Not really sure how I feel about it because I had like zero relationship with him. His funeral will be this weekend and we are going to go for my dad. Its a lot of weird awkward feelings. Death seems to put expectations on you. It seems you either feel you're over reacting or underacting. I just don't know.

BOORITOS

so today, the 31st of october, myself and a car full of friends went to chipotle. in case any of you are unaware and don't know, chipotle gives away a free burrito to anyone that comes in from 5pm-10pm on halloween dressed AS a burrito. now, "dressed as a burrito" means that you just put a piece of someones discarded foil on your head that you picked up from the parking lot and walk in. we went to 4 different chipotle's and went through the line twice at the last one. making our head coverings face masks so they wouldn't recognize us. so i have a nice little stack of burritos in my refridgerator.

What would cause a child to bite another kid so hard that when I looked at it today (3 days later) there is a bruise ring? Or what would get into that same kid to cause him to claw another boy behind the ear leaving deep cuts that gush blood and puff up? Especially when the child victims are just sitting there minding there own business. It is sad the issues some of these kids have.

awkward

so i'm sitting in panera eating lunch and studying for my speech midterm. this girl comes and sits at another table directly in from of me. she's cute. kinda reminds me of katja... anyway, this older guy, who has to be in his late-30's to early-40's come and sits with her. this being a college area, i think that maybe she is out with her professor or something (why that would happen anyway is weird, but still, it's what i thought of).
they looked deep into each other's eyes and kissed a tender kiss, but awkward cause it's in panera... as i stared, i noticed that the businessman across from (who is facing me) is also staring.
it was weird. it was liking watching a daughter makeout with her father...
glad i only had soup for lunch otherwise, i might be a little nauseous...

I love, LOVE going into a store and having 3 different people come up to you, ask if they can help, then tell you all of the promotions they are running for the month.

I LOVE THAT.

so you know what you do? start paying attention to what the first sales person says to you and then by the time the third or fouth get to you you can repeat it back to them before they can get a word out and make them feel like idiots. now, i REALLY love that. try it and then get back with me.


i think that i am getting a house. well, i am renting an awesome house with some other chicks. it's going to be pretty sweet. you will all have to come and wisit.

hey, i know that this is kind of serious.... but if i could have you guys be praying. i have some friends here that are about to have twin babies. they found out that both babies have fluid on their brains and are supposed to be born severely mentally handicapped. my friend is going in for a c-section on wednesday at noon, so, if you think about it be praying for them at that time. it's wes and amanda martin and the babie's names are charlie and allie. thanks guys, i appreciate it.

due to the nature of this story I was asked not to reveal actual names of the people in this story...

the clocks just turned back. I find myself relaxing rather nicely inside my flannel sheets, while my cat "Lincoln" was running around trying to get the energy out of his system so he fall asleep. soon after "laqueesah" found it time to use the restroom. as laqueesah left the room she made sure the door was to remain closed so lincoln would not leave the room and wake our guests... moments later I am scared out of my sheets from the boom that had come from the door. within seconds it came to my attention the darkness had not revealed the closed door to laqueesah and she found that her body would not budge a closed door but create a very loud sonic boom. thankfully her nose didn't break!

what a great way to end the night... much laughter...
